Frequently asked questions
What is Nexis?
Nexis is an overlay for The Isle Evrima. It shows your dino's live stats, a map with minimap, garage, shop, skin editor, support and voice right on top of the game.
Which Windows versions are supported?
Windows 10 and Windows 11, 64-bit. Nexis also needs the Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime, which is usually already present on both.
Do I need a separate installer?
No. Nexis is a single EXE file: download it, run it, done. You don't need to install .NET separately either.
How do I sign in?
When Nexis starts, you sign in with Steam. Nexis then connects to your server.
Does Nexis work on every server?
Nexis works on servers that use Nexis. Which features are available – voice or the shop, for example – is up to your server.
How do updates work?
Nexis checks for a new version at start and regularly. Click “Update” and it is downloaded, verified and installed. You can choose how often Nexis checks in the settings.
What happens to my settings when I update?
They are kept. An update only replaces the program itself.
Can I use English or German?
Yes. Switch the language in the settings under “General”.
Is voice optional?
Yes. Voice chat is off at first. Turn it on in the settings if your server offers voice.
Windows shows a warning the first time I run Nexis. Is that normal?
Nexis is currently not digitally signed, so Windows SmartScreen may ask before the first start. Choose “More info” and then “Run anyway” to start Nexis. Only ever download Nexis from getnexis.de – the SHA-256 checksum is listed in the download section.
Is Nexis an official The Isle product?
No. Nexis is an independent product and is not affiliated with the developers of The Isle.
